Abstract
Zeolites are microporous, aluminosilicate minerals of volcanic origin with various applications. They are essential for green chemistry. The aim of the pre- sent work is physico-chemical characterization and application of Bulgarian natural zeolite clinoptilolite for environmental protection reaction. Clinoptilolite is one of the most common and most widely used natural zeolites in the world, which has high chemical stability and low extraction cost. With its specific mi- croporous structure, acidic properties, high thermal stability and possibility of ion exchange, it is extreme- ly suitable as a carrier in heterogeneous - catalytic reactions in air purification from various pollutants.
